He completed his general surgery training at the National Naval Medical Center, Bethesda, MD and was certified by the American Board of Surgery. His plastic surgery residency was at the Eastern Virginia Graduate School of Medicine in Norfolk, VA. He has been certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery since 1986. Dr Davis served as assistant chief of Plastic Surgery at the National Naval Medical Center before entering private practice in Raleigh.
