Elite Coach was founded by Matthew and Jacki Smallwood in 1999 initially to serve as a provider of stretch limousine service to clients in the metro Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill areas. The founder’s previous experience had been in the owning and operating a number of entrepreneurial businesses in the hospitality and travel industries. Overtime the company recognized an opportunity in the elite, black car livery market and evolved to focus on providing the type of service here in the triangle that was found in larger markets such as Boston, New York City and Los Angeles. In 2001 the company established a business relationship with Boston Coach, one of the world’s largest and most successful executive transportation networks. With this relationship, Elite Coach can provide worldwide ground transportation in over 450 markets.
