Founded multiple line in 1932 by James C. Greene who had a unique property-casualty background for that time. We are the oldest firm in the country so founded and still operating under the same identity and (up-dated) management. From the beginning we have educated, trained, recruited and promoted multiple line personnel. Not however, to the exclusion of specialists and appraisers and with due regard to the peculiar needs of self insureds, specialty underwriters and the transportation industry. Our Services, Methods and Costs are tuned to the regional operation which does enjoy certain advantages. Our spread of offices and adjusters must perforce mean faster service, less travel time and mileage cost. Regionally "nativized" personnel provides recruitment advantages with low turnover. Top management is close to the action scene, quickly responsive, uninsulated.
