| Salon Owners are responsible for knowing the laws that govern salon operations. Make sure you and your employees are informed! Starting October 1, 2004, all licensees will be required to complete 8 hours of continuing education, in order to renew their license. Cosmetologists may complete up to 24 hours of CE at any time within the three-year licensing cycle. Continuing Education will first be required of all estheticians and manicurists on October 1, 2005. Cosmetologists will need CE to renew in 2007. Teacher licenses will fall back on their original professional license to satisfy CE requirements. |
