| TRIUMPH, LLC was established in 1999 in Durham, North Carolina. Our goal was and is to create services that address the previously unmet needs of the community for quality, community-based treatment services. Our first program was the creation of a unique day treatment program. This program was designed using the principles of Adventure-Based Counseling, designed to serve those children who have been identified as having significant behavioral difficulties and who have been pushed out of traditional school, summer, and after-school programming. Adventure-Based Counseling (ABC) takes its roots from Outward Bound and Project Adventure, two nationally recognized programs that have proven effective in improving self-concept, improving healthy decision-making skills, and in some studies reduced recidivism for youthful offenders. |
